Volunteer opportunities may include light facility maintenance, repairing books or toys, holding babies or helping at special events such as graduation, park days or other field trips. If you are interested in volunteering you will need to contact your local center to set up a time to fill out an application and you may also need to get fingerprinted and a background check depending on the hours and tasks.

We hold two agency events a year that rely on volunteer assistance whether setting up decorations or serving food and beverages at our Little Plates to helping children during our Pre K event. If you are interest in helping at these events please contact Tara at 970-493-2628.

There may be other opportunities to assist at outside fundraisers we participate in as well.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Teaching Tree board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission.

The highest priority responsibility of those listed above is helping to secure resources (fundraising and awareness-building) for Teaching Tree to continue to meet the vastly unmet need for quality early childhood education in our community. The mission of Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center is to provide affordable, quality early childhood and educational programs in a culturally and economically diverse environment, ensuring a climate for individual growth, comfort, and security.

There are 6 Teaching Tree Board of Director meetings annually typically in the months of:  January, March, May, August, October, and late November/early December.  Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday, unless noted otherwise.  Meetings are held at the United Way of Larimer County conference space, unless otherwise noted.
